MEET MICHELLE

Michelle Newsham is a highly acclaimed hairstylist with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Her passion for hairstyling began at a young age, and she pursued her dream by attending John Jay Beauty School and trained under some of the best hairstylists in the business.

Michelle's dedication and hard work quickly paid off, and she rose to the top of her field in a very short time. She opened her first salon, Hair Therapy, at the young age of 24. At 32 she decided salon ownership was not for her, and instead went on to work in other salons as a booth renter while still managing over 300 clients.

In addition to her work as a hairstylist, Michelle is also a mentor and educator. She started a mentor program, called Brains & Beauty Artistry Concept, where she went into middle schools to mentor students on entrepreneurship. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and expertise of both entrepreneurship and hair with the next generation of hairstylists, and she will begin regularly hosting workshops and seminars to help aspiring stylists learn the skills they need to succeed in the industry.
